Due to the introduction of palladium to the Hallmarking Act it has been necessary to update the Dealers Notice (DN2 Notice) to include this metal. The new version is available to download free here along with printing criteria or available to purchase in a high quality A4 tent-card format for £10.00 inc VAT. (P&P is additional).
Contact us for further information. Please note that the Hallmarking Act 1973 states that it is an offence for a dealer not to display the notice in his/her premises.
Any previous versions of this notice will need replacing with this latest edition by 1 January 2011.
HALLMARKING OF PALLADIUM BECOMES COMPULSORY
As of 1 January 2010 the hallmarking of palladium articles for sale in the UK becomes compulsory. All palladium items weighing 1 gram or over will need to be hallmarked as stated in the amended UK Hallmarking Act (1973) along with gold, silver and platinum. Download further information here.
ONE-HOUR PRIORITY SERVICE AT ASSAY OFFICE LONDON
Get up to five items hallmarked within one hour. Items can be laser or hand marked with the application of the sponsor's mark and additional marking, such as logos and display marks included in the cost. Available at Goldsmiths' Hall and Greville Street.
