Have You Booked to Attend Make Your Mark?

There’s still time to book to attend Make Your Mark at Goldsmiths’ Hall on Tuesday 31st October and Wednesday 1st November 2017.

The event is a great opportunity to attend talks, speak to our exhibitors and register for your hallmark (new registrants only).

Speakers at this year’s Make Your Mark event will include award-winning jewellery designer Harriet Kelsall and Michael Wainwright, Managing Director of luxury jeweller Boodles. There will also be a series of informative talks by representatives of The Goldsmiths’ Company throughout the two days.

The event will also include specialist Surgery sessions for the first time, provided by specialist jewellery and watch communications agency FACETS PR. These Surgeries, which will take place throughout the two days, will offer visitors the chance to speak to industry experts on a one-to-one basis on subjects including PR, social media for business and how to communicate with press to secure coverage. There will also be a team of young designers available at the Surgeries, who can give the attending students a realistic insight into making a career from jewellery design and top tips they wish they had known when they were starting out.

Dr Robert Organ, Deputy Warden of the Goldsmiths’ Company Assay Office, said: “At the Goldsmiths’ Company, part of our ethos is to encourage and assist people to enter the trade, whether it is through educational workshops, visits to colleges, free Library support, precious metal bursaries or apprenticeships. Underlining this support is Make Your Mark. This is the fourth consecutive year that we have run the event - each year we welcome newcomers to the trade who need help with their very first steps, but its success and popularity has also seen attendees return year upon year.”

Shortlisted entries for The Make Your Mark Awards will also be on display throughout the event. Winners will be announced at a special VIP evening reception at Goldsmiths’ Hall on Tuesday 31st October.

If you haven’t already booked to attend Make Your Mark, you can do so here!

Entry to the event is free and tickets for talks and places in Surgeries will be available on the day.
