On Tuesday 6 April 2026 we will be making some adjustments to London Assay Office pricing.

The adjustments that will affect most businesses are:
• The fee for packets containing 1-2 articles will increase from £17 to £18
• The fee for packets containing 3+ articles will increase from £21 to £22
• And the article surcharge (packets containing 3+ articles) will increase from £1.40 per article to £1.45 per article
• The non hallmarking charge - will increase from £17 to £18

The prices for all of our services can be seen in full, in our updated Price List found in Customer Info & Downloads, which is valid from 6 April 2026. This also includes some changes to Second-hand charges and Special Assay charges, along with an increase for Moderate and Complex Bespoke hallmarks which take far longer to apply.

We understand that some customers may find these adjustments challenging, however we are proud to:
• Be the most cost-effective Assay Office for customers that need to submit packets containing 1-2 articles.
• Offer struck or laser marking in one, simple to follow, pricing structure.
• Apply the full traditional UK hallmark without charging a supplement for the traditional fineness symbol or date letter.

This decision to adjust our prices has not been taken lightly, however increased costs of production, and the surge in demand for high priority packet return and for complex marking of articles, have made it a necessity for our business.
