Gearry Suen wins Technological Innovation Award in the Goldsmiths' Craft and Design Council Competition
We are proud to sponsor the Technological Innovation Award in the Goldsmiths' Craft and Design Council Competition. A silver award was presented at the ceremony on 17 May 2021 to Gearry Suen.
For 2020/21, the Goldsmiths’ Company Assay Office and Goldsmiths' Craft and Design Council teams came together to create the Make Your Mark 2D Design Award in the Goldsmiths' Craft and Design Council Competition.
Our brief asked you to design an item of jewellery, smallwork or silverware that promotes, enhances and celebrates the London Hallmark.
Gold, silver and bronze awards were announced at the ceremony last night.
What has been the biggest challenge for you and your team during the pandemic?
Our biggest challenge is change. We have had to adapt a lot, and fast. The pandemic quickened the improvement of our online services.
We have significantly increased and improved the information on our website basing it on the user experience. How you use our website continues to inform its development. There are instruction pages on how to submit a packet online, how to pay online, and how to renew your sponsor’s mark registration.
